We are seeking confident and compassionate Behaviour Mentors to join a supportive Secondary SEMH school. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs through mentoring, behaviour support, and trauma-informed practice.
You will be:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Using restorative and trauma-informed approaches to de-escalate challenging behaviour
- Delivering mentoring sessions focused on emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour
- Supporting students during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and transitions
- Assisting with student reintegration following exclusions or periods of dysregulation
- Working closely with teaching, pastoral, and safeguarding teams to support student progress
We are looking for someone with experience supporting young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs within a school, alternative provision, youth work, or care setting.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:30pm), offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, with the potential to secure a long-term or permanent position.
