We are looking for a confident and motivated Deputy Room Leader to join a welcoming early years setting in Lewisham. This is a full-time, permanent role within a supportive nursery environment, working closely with the Room Leader to support the day-to-day running of the room and the delivery of high-quality childcare and education.

You will be:

  • Supporting the learning and development of young children in line with the EYFS
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment
  • Planning and supporting age-appropriate activities
  • Acting as a Key Person and supporting children’s wellbeing
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the room, including staff supervision
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents
  • Maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, and health and safety

The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years and have experience supporting the day-to-day running of a nursery room. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, Ofsted requirements, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and parents is essential.
