About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the most definitive study of sarcoma epidemiology to date, funded by Sarcoma UK, and Bone Cancer Research Trust in collaboration with NHS England / NDRS. The post will be based in a NHS England office in either London, Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge, or Manchester. Homeworking with travel to an office when necessary can also be considered.
The National Disease Registration Service (NDRS)
We are internationally recognised for our data curation and expertise in the analysis and interrogation of data to provide evidence for clinicians, patients, academics, industry and others. We work in partnership with other groups across NHS England and beyond, to identify, collect, collate and quality‑assure detailed and rich population‑level datasets for specific diseases and conditions. NDRS is an international leader in population‑based disease registration services, real‑world clinical data quality assurance, surveillance and monitoring. We also have significant skills in data science, analytics and complex data processing systems.
This project is funded until October 2029.

About you
Successful applicants must have a Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (information, statistics, health, or sciences with a significant analytical component) and experience of handling patient medical data.
Understanding of medical terminology, experience of handling sensitive personal data and patient medical data are desirable but not essential.
