The UCL Global Industrial Technology Cooperation Centre (GITCC) is a pioneering partnership between UCL and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT). Launched in 2025, it supports cutting‑edge research, development and commercialisation of technologies through partnerships between Korean businesses and UK universities and industry. The Centre’s work spans emerging technologies in future mobility, robotics, artificial intelligence, quantum systems and clean energy.
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and bilingual Programme Officer (English/Korean) to join the UCL GITCC team. This is a fixed‑term appointment until 30 September 2029, based in central London with hybrid working (minimum 40% on site).
In this pivotal role, you will help identify and support ambitious Korean technology innovators seeking to collaborate with UCL and its partners. You will play a key part in developing high‑impact, cross‑border partnerships, facilitating connections between Korean companies, UCL researchers and UK industry.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate events and workshops.
- Maintain accurate records through UCL systems.
- Support relationship management between UCL, Korean government agencies and industry partners.
- Contribute to project monitoring, communications and the development of future collaborative opportunities.
- International travel to Korea will form part of the role.

About you
You will bring experience or qualifications relevant to innovation, technology, or partnership development, along with a strong understanding of how technology‑based businesses grow and expand into new markets.
You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and confident working to tight deadlines.
You will have strong analytical and communication abilities, including experience preparing reports and presenting data.
You should be comfortable using CRM or online reporting systems to manage information accurately, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to engage confidently with stakeholders across academia, government and industry.
Native or near‑native fluency in Korean is required, with the ability to communicate confidently in professional and business contexts.
You should also be able and willing to travel within the UK and internationally. Experience supporting innovation partnerships between academia and industry would be an advantage.
