About the role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead to provides advanced technical leadership across UCL's enterprise Reporting & Analytics platforms, driving the design, development, and scaling of R&A services. The role will lead the design, development, and scaling of complex technical solutions, including R&A platforms, dashboards, semantic models, and self-service analytics while promoting a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
The post holder will influence change, embed best practices, and ensure analytics platforms are secure, scalable, reliable, and deliver exceptional value to students, staff, and educators. You will also mentor junior member, curate and deliver training across diverse audiences, and champion a user-focused, service-oriented approach to analytics delivery.

About you
You are an experienced technical leader with a strong track record in building and scaling enterprise Reporting & Analytics platforms. You have deep expertise in R&A technologies such as Fabric Power BI, Power BI, Tableau, BOBI and modern Reporting platforms, and a passion for driving data-driven decision-making.
You excel at mentoring and developing teams, curating and delivering training to diverse audiences across the organisation, and producing high-standard technical documentation. You have experience leading complex migration projects and promoting best practices to ensure high standards of data quality, security, and operational reliability.
You have a strong customer-service mindset, keeping the customer at the centre of everything you do, and can translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights that enhance user experience and enable exceptional analytics and reporting services.
