Main purpose of the job
To undertake a retention review of physical records in semi-current storage, liaising with departments to ensure safe and timely destruction.
Duties and responsibilities
- Check box lists for all our departments
- Identify 'expired' records, using our Records Retention Schedule
- Liaise with departments as necessary
- Arrange destruction with warehouse team
- Compile reports to support oversight and monitor progress.
- General
- Maintain an awareness and observation of Health and Safety Regulations and undertake Fire Marshal duties after appropriate training.
- Follow and actively promote Ways of Working.
- Takes responsibility to carry out duties in a way that embodies our environmental and social sustainability values, actively supporting Sustainability Strategy, policies and objectives within the remit of their role.
- Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager.
