The UCL Institute for Global Health (IGH) is at the heart of UCL's Grand Challenge of Global Health. The Institute's vision is for a world where international policy on global health is informed by world-class research. IGH aims to support the development of robust solutions to aspects of the world's major global health challenges through scholarly outputs, education, public engagement, translational research, and ultimately by influencing public policy and professional practice.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join our team and provide high-level support to Prof Jolene Skordis.
The postholder will provide high level of executive support to Prof Jolene Skordis, Vice Dean (International and Advancement) for the Faculty of Population Health Sciences, Head of the Research Department for Environmental and Community Health, Director of the Bloomsbury Policy Lab, and Chair of The European Global Health Research Institutes Network (EGHRIN) Executive Committee. The postholder will be responsible for diary management, balancing competing priorities and handling complex situations. They will also liaise with senior level colleagues across the University and external contacts to arrange itineraries for national and international visits.
The annual salary for this role is £36,433 including London Allowance, pro-rata for part-time staff. This is a part-time role (i.e. 21.9 hours per week, 0.6 FTE) and it is available immediately until 31st December 2026.
About you: The postholder should be educated to A-level standard or have equivalent relevant experience. Experience working in a senior EA role for a large or complex organisation, experience of servicing high-level committees (with diverse membership) and minute taking, excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the drafting of emails and letters, and excellent organisational skills are essential requirements for this post.
