This role will play a key part in ensuring the successful implementation, operational readiness, and transition of the system into Business-as-Usual (BAU).
Working closely with project managers, technical teams, product specialists, and Learning & Development colleagues, you will provide specialist CSOD administration, data migration, system testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement support.
Although this is not a project management position, you will take ownership of assigned implementation activities, ensuring high-quality delivery while helping establish sustainable learning processes aligned with the organisation's new Target Operating Model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert, hands-on administration and implementation support for the Cornerstone On Demand (CSOD) Learning Management System.
- Independently manage assigned implementation workstreams while working within agreed governance and project priorities.
- Administer learning content, learning objects, events, sessions, curricula, users, security roles, and permissions.
- Prepare, validate, and manage data load sheets, bulk uploads, and Edge imports to ensure accurate system data.
- Support data migration activities, including data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance.
- Configure and maintain system settings and administrative changes in accordance with governance procedures.
- Execute system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), investigate defects, and support issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot CSOD system issues independently, escalating complex technical problems to vendors or specialist teams where appropriate.
- Produce reports and management information using CSOD reporting functionality to support operational and project requirements.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development, Organisational Development, and operational teams to implement the new Learning Target Operating Model.
- Identify opportunities to streamline learning administration by maximising CSOD functionality and automation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, user guides, process maps, and operational procedures.
- Support knowledge transfer activities and help build CSOD capability across the Digital Learning team.
- Work collaboratively across project, technical, and business teams to support implementation, go-live, hypercare, and transition into BAU.
- Contribute specialist LMS expertise throughout the implementation programme while supporting successful project delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience
- Significant hands-on experience administering
Cornerstone On Demand (CSOD) within a complex organisational environment.
- Previous involvement in LMS implementation, migration, or large-scale system transformation projects.
- Strong experience within Learning & Development (L&D), Organisational Development (OD), or corporate learning environments.
- Practical experience administering CSOD learning objects, events, sessions, curricula, users, roles, and permissions.
- Experience managing CSOD data load sheets, bulk uploads, and Edge imports.
- Experience supporting system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
- Proven ability to translate system functionality into efficient operational processes and sustainable business practices.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent understanding of Learning Management Systems and learning administration processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data management skills, including data manipulation, validation, cleansing, and quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against agreed deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, project, and business teams.
- Ability to produce high-quality system documentation, process guides, and operational procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced implementation environment.
