Our Accommodation team plays a crucial role in delivering an outstanding residential experience for over 6,500 students across 26 halls. As we embark on a bold new strategy to be the sector leader in student accommodation, we're looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Deputy Accommodation Manager to help us deliver on that vision.
As Deputy Accommodation Manager, you'll be a key part of our operational leadership team, responsible for:
- Leading and motivating a team of Accommodation Advisors to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and satisfaction of our residents.
- Overseeing building standards, maintenance, compliance, and facilities management.
- Supporting key events such as open days, arrivals, departures, and summer turnaround.
- Working closely with UCL departments and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
You’ll deputise for the Accommodation Manager and play a critical role in promoting a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment that feels like home.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. You will have:
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a customer-facing role.
- A strong track record of team development, performance management, and service delivery.
- Solid understanding of health and safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Confidence working with budgets and managing suppliers.
- A flexible, proactive attitude - ready to lead by example and inspire others.
- Experience in student accommodation, hospitality, or facilities management is desirable but not essential.
