About the role
We are seeking a creative and analytical Senior Marketing Communications Officer to lead our paid student recruitment advertising campaigns and help strengthen UCL’s global reach. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape how prospective students engage with UCL through strategic, data‑driven digital marketing. Working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager, you will develop and deliver high‑quality digital campaigns across multiple platforms. You will collaborate with internal teams and external media and creative agencies to plan activity, optimise performance and ensure campaigns support UCL’s student recruitment objectives.
A key part of the role will involve producing compelling, authentic content for both paid and organic channels, working directly with students and alumni to bring real voices into our storytelling. Analytical insight will be central to your success. You will monitor campaign performance, analyse lead data and work with CRM and Digital teams to provide clear, actionable reporting. Your work will help drive decision‑making, support continuous improvement and ensure campaigns deliver measurable results. This is a permanent role, available from 12 January 2026. UCL operates hybrid working, with two days per week based at our King’s Cross office.
About you

With experience delivering impactful digital campaigns, you are confident working across multiple channels and using CRM systems to track engagement and performance. You bring:
- Experience delivering paid advertising campaigns
- Familiarity with media agencies and multi‑channel media plans
- Strong copywriting skills and the ability to produce accurate, engaging content
- Analytical skills to interpret and present complex data
- Experience working with content creators and managing outputs
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
You are organised, detail‑focused and able to work independently or as part of a team, consistently delivering high‑quality work to deadlines.
What we offer
As well as exciting opportunities, UCL offers a range of great benefits.
