About us
UCL Careers provides career education to current students, graduates and staff of UCL, as well as recruitment solutions for employers. UCL Careers provides a 'core' central service accessible to all students as well as varying degrees of more 'local' provision within schools, faculties and individual departments. This Careers role will work as part of the School for the Creative and Cultural Industries (SCCI) at UCL East, a cross‑disciplinary entity encompassing the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences, and the Institute of Education. SCCI works closely with creative and cultural industry partners to enhance student employability and provide skills development opportunities both in the UK and internationally through the newly established Global Creative & Cultural Skills Hub.
About the role
The Careers Education Manager (SCCI) will contribute to the vision and mission of both SCCI and UCL Careers by:
- Supporting the delivery of credit‑bearing employability modules as a careers expert, including providing employability‑related teaching sessions, partner outreach and liaison.
- Carrying out one‑to‑one career advice appointments for SCCI students.
- Planning and delivering extracurricular career activities for students across SCCI in support of strategic programmes, such as the Global Creative & Cultural Skills Hub.
- Line‑managing the Careers Education Officer (SCCI).
About you
We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of the creative and cultural industries, and experience in supporting credit‑bearing employability modules and advising students in both one‑to‑one and group environments.
