Be part of London\'s Global University

At UCL, we\'re proud to provide a world-class student experience both inside and outside the classroom. With over 8,000 bed spaces across 26 halls, our Accommodation team plays a vital role in welcoming students to London and supporting them throughout their UCL journey.

We\'re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Accommodation Advisor to join our friendly and supportive Accommodation Office team. This role offers the chance to make a real difference to student life, while developing your skills in student services, administration, and customer care in a busy and varied environment.

About the role

As an Accommodation Advisor, you\'ll:

  • Provide first-line support to students, staff, and stakeholders on all accommodation-related enquiries (eligibility, applications, allocations, finance, and policies).
  • Process applications and allocations using UCL\'s housing management system (StarRez).
  • Support students with tenancy changes, invoices, refunds, and other related requests.
  • Help deliver a positive student experience during key times such as arrivals, open days, and induction activities.
  • Work closely with colleagues across UCL and external providers to ensure a smooth, supportive, and professional service.

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of office-based (20–80%) and remote working. Some flexibility will be required during busy periods (e.g. September arrivals).

About you

We\'re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a customer service or administrative role, ideally within education, housing, or a related sector.
  • Is confident using IT systems and software, including MS Office.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise in busy periods.
  • Is committed to delivering outstanding service and building positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Experience with housing systems (e.g. StarRez) or financial procedures is desirable but not essential—we\'ll provide full training.

  • 41 Days holiday (27 days annual leave 8 bank holiday and 6 closure days)
  • Additional 5 days\' annual leave purchase scheme
  • Defined benefit career average revalued earnings pension scheme (CARE)
