As a Learning Technologist within the Digital Education Support team, you will play a key role in supporting staff and students in their use of digital learning tools and platforms. You will provide second-line support for our services, working closely with colleagues across Digital Education and the wider UCL community to resolve queries, give advice, and share best practice.
A core part of your role will be designing and delivering guidance and training for staff and students, through workshops, online resources, and one-to-one sessions, helping them make effective, inclusive use of UCL’s digital education services. You will also assist change management activities including stakeholder analysis, communications, engagement and feedback-gathering. You’ll also contribute to projects that enhance existing products, develop new services, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
This is a collaborative, cross-functional role where you’ll contribute to product-based tasks including feature development, testing and evaluation activities. You will work alongside academics, students, product teams, and fellow Learning Technologists to ensure our platforms and services effectively support teaching, assessment, and learner engagement.
You will have experience providing e-learning support within an IT service delivery environment, ideally within higher education. You’ll bring an appreciation of both the pedagogical and technical aspects of digital learning, along with enthusiasm for helping others build their digital confidence. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work proactively and effectively within a team.
You will be someone who enjoys problem-solving, supporting others, and contributing ideas to enhance our digital education provision. In return, you’ll join a supportive, forward-thinking team that values adaptability, curiosity, and a shared commitment to improving the student experience.
