About the role

The UCL School of Management is looking to appoint a full-time Lecturer (Teaching) for a fixed-term contract of two years to contribute to teaching innovation and technology management.

The School is looking for candidates who have experience in engaging with organisations in technology development and evaluation. Experience working with AI adoption and implementation is preferred. Candidates should be motivated to leverage this work for the benefit of students studying technology and innovation topics. There will be opportunities for the postholder to engage in international projects involving university partnerships. Experience in fostering and managing international collaborations between business schools is therefore an advantage.

Please note that:

  • This is a post on the Teaching track/Education and is not an academic research track post.
  • A doctorate in the relevant area is essential.

  • Within the 1-page cover letter, applicants should highlight experience and achievements in the area of education, including programme leadership roles.
  • The post is available from 1st October or as per negotiation.

About you

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant master’s degree in a field related to business and management, economics, psychology, or technology innovation. They will have experience teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, as well as supervising dissertations at either level.

The role requires a strong ability to relate theoretical concepts to real-world business and management practice. Candidates should also have experience engaging with organisations in the development and evaluation of technology, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence. A commitment to maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge through interaction with academic and professional journals—ideally with a focus on technology and innovation—is also essential.
