We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Programme Administrator to join the Grand Challenges team within the Office of the Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation and Global Engagement). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile initiative that sits at the heart of UCL's mission to address global challenges through cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The Programme Administrator will support the delivery of a varied portfolio of activities across all Grand Challenge themes. Working closely with Coordinators and Programme Officers, you will help to plan and deliver funding calls, community-building events and communications, ensuring that each activity runs smoothly and achieves its intended impact.

A significant part of the role will involve supporting the end-to-end planning and delivery of events, including workshops, funding briefings, networking events and conferences, delivered both online and in person. You will assist with event logistics, manage registrations and attendee communications, prepare materials, and provide hands-on support on the day, acting as a key point of contact for speakers and participants. You will also support post-event activity, including capturing feedback, tracking outcomes and contributing to reporting on reach and impact.

Alongside this, you will support administrative and operational processes across the programme, including preparing materials for award panels, managing financial processes, supporting the collection and analysis of impact data, maintaining accurate records and documentation, and contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and ways of working that underpin the team's activity.

You will have experience of working in an administrative or project support role, ideally in a busy and dynamic environment. You will be confident managing multiple tasks and deadlines, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a team. Strong organisational and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail and sound judgement are essential, as is a customer-focused approach to supporting colleagues and stakeholders.

You will have experience of supporting the planning and delivery of events or meetings, and be comfortable providing practical, on-the-day support to ensure events run smoothly. You will be confident using digital tools and systems to manage information, registrations and processes, and enthusiastic about finding ways to improve how things are done. You will also be adaptable, responsive to change, and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a programme that champions collaboration, innovation and impact.

The role is based at UCL's Bloomsbury campus, with hybrid working arrangements available.

As well as the exciting opportunities this role presents we also offer some great benefits.
