UCL Faculty of Laws is looking to appoint one or more outstanding candidate(s) with research interests and teaching expertise in one or more of the following listed subject areas: Commercial Law; International Commercial Arbitration; Trusts/Equity; or Land Law. Applicants with research interests and/or teaching expertise in legal history, roman law, alternative dispute resolution, conflict of laws, or international sale of goods are particularly welcome.

The Faculty hosts a rich and deep body of research and teaching expertise in the listed subject areas. We are seeking to expand our group of talented lawyers who participate in delivering our market leading LLB and LLM programmes. The closing date for applications is 28 February. Interviews will likely take place in the weeks commencing 27 April or 4 May.

Successful candidates will be expected to engage in world leading research and to contribute to the Faculty's development and advancement of one or more of the listed subject areas (and other areas of law falling within their subject matter expertise). It is also expected that the post-holders will contribute to all aspects of the academic life of the Faculty and University.

Applicants should possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of teamwork and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds. The UCL Academic Career Framework sets out four domains of activity for teaching and research posts (Research; Education; Enterprise and External Engagement; and Institutional Citizenship). Appointments to a Professor in Law post are expected to make a balanced contribution across all four domains.
