About the role

We are looking for brilliant and proactive Education Administrator to support the administration and delivery of the Critical Care programme in the Faculty of Life Sciences. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to develop their skills and build a rewarding career within the new FLS Education Administration and Student Experience (EASE) team. We are looking for organised and student-focused individuals to support our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Faculty of Life Sciences.

Providing professional administrative support and information to our students, the post holder will work closely with external partners along with our students and esteemed academic staff. You will play a key role in managing the academic cycle, from induction and timetabling to assessments and exam boards, while providing responsive support to students and staff. You will work closely with academic leads and NHS partners to ensure smooth programme delivery and may also contribute to student engagement activities such as socials, field trips, and open days. There is also scope to support improvement projects using Excel and Power Apps, and to collaborate across the wider team when needed. If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting students, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting admissions, enrolment, and timetabling
  • Supporting in-person assessments and exam boards
  • Liaison with academics, external stakeholders and wider UCL
  • Responding to student and staff queries
  • Contribute to wider activities across the Programme and EASE Team and support other programmes as needed

The post is available until 4 January in the first instance.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid role. Flexibility is essential, as there will be peak periods, particularly around student-facing activities, when increased on-campus presence will be required. We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible. This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Research and Professional Services Staff.

This is a dynamic and varied position where no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to work independently, plan your own workload, and make decisions, while being fully supported by your Education Coordinator and the wider team. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the role involves a broad range of activities and can respond to rapidly changing priorities. You will be part of a highly supportive environment, with access to training and development opportunities to help you grow your skills across your chosen areas.

About you

You are a proactive, solutions-focused individual with strong organisational skills and an excellent eye for detail. You are confident working both independently and collaboratively, and you bring a positive, patient, and professional approach to everything you do. Strong communication skills are essential.
