About the role

The CDT Partnerships Manager will lead the development and delivery of strategic collaborations with internal (UCL) and external (academic, industry, government, charity, healthcare) partners to support and grow the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT). Working closely with the Centre Director, Deputy Director (Partnerships), CDT Manager, and Management Team, the postholder will execute the mid- to long-term development plan for external partnerships, ensuring sustained business growth and excellence in industrial relations. This includes managing collaborative research projects, embedding industrial expertise in teaching, and promoting the CDT’s profile nationally, across the EU, and internationally.

The role requires efficient project management, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The postholder will organise regular planning and review meetings with external partners and internal colleagues, represent the CDT at national meetings and networks, and provide a high-quality, timely service to current and prospective students and staff. Engagement with Faculty and Central UCL services is essential to maximise opportunities for the Centre. A professional attitude, willingness to help, and a positive outlook are key to success in this dynamic and outward-facing role.

You have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and spot opportunities for growth. You are proactive, professional, and positive, able to represent the Centre at national and international meetings and promote its work with confidence. You are passionate about supporting Doctoral Training, developing future research leaders and tackling global challenges such as Antimicrobial Resistance.
