Reporting to the Pro-Provost (Health), the team brings together internal expertise and external relationships to shape impactful initiatives across healthcare education, research, and innovation. As we prepare to launch a new institutional Health Strategy in 2025/26, we are now expanding our team to help bring this vision to life.

About The Role

Please note this is a fixed term contract available now until 31 July 2026 for external candidates and is open as a secondment opportunity for internal candidates.

We are looking for a dynamic Programme Manager to support the implementation of UCL’s upcoming Health Strategy. In this pivotal role, you’ll coordinate and manage programmes that strengthen our healthcare education and research infrastructure – ranging from expanding training for healthcare professionals to advancing new research groups or platforms.

You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering programmes that require stakeholder engagement, business case development, communications, and reporting. Working closely with academic and clinical leaders, you’ll also convene networks, steer governance processes, and provide oversight for cross-sector collaborations.

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of40%on site. Please note Tuesdays and Thursdays are currently in-office days.

About You

You will bring proven expertise in programme management, ideally within a health or higher education setting, and thrive on steering complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept to delivery.

You’ll be an effective communicator, comfortable engaging with senior academic and NHS partners alike, and skilled in shaping business cases and strategic plans.

Your experience will include managing risks, timelines, and governance processes across diverse projects, all while adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Your background may include a health-related degree, and you’ll hold (or be working toward) a recognised project or programme management qualification. Crucially, you are analytical, organised, and collaborative, with the ability to solve problems creatively and lead with confidence and clarity.
