At Chailey Heritage Foundation, we believe every young person deserves the chance to explore the world around them. As one of our dedicated drivers, you’ll play a vital role in helping children and young people access exciting experiences, build confidence, and enjoy greater independence.

Purpose of the Role

To make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by driving them to places where they can learn, explore, and have fun.

What You’ll Do
  • Carry out simple vehicle safety checks to make sure the minibus is safe and ready for the journey.
  • Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and welcoming for everyone on board.
  • Complete a quick log after each trip and let the team know if anything needs attention.
  • Lend a helping hand when children and young people are getting on and off the bus — including safely securing wheelchairs.

An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role. This position's hours are flexible; you can choose a regular day or volunteer on an ad hoc basis, whatever suits you. You will require the relevant licences for driving a minibus, and a clean driving record.
