VIEW Craft is a small charity providing arts and crafts activities for people who are blind or partially sighted. The weekly sessions help build confidence, creativity and community connections.
About this opportunity
In order to continue our valuable work, we are looking for a volunteer to help us apply for grants and funding opportunities. We need someone to:
- Identify grants and funding opportunities (trusts, foundations, local and national funders etc)
- Write simple, clear applications (either in letter form or online)
- Keep a record of deadlines and applications submitted
- Track applications and prepare progress and outcome reports.
You don’t need to be an expert – we will provide background information about the charity and our activities – but some experience of fundraising or applications would be helpful but not essential.
Requirements:
- Good written English and basic computer skills
- Someone organised and reliable, able to work independently
- An interest in helping people with sight loss
This role is flexible, taking perhaps 2 to 3 hours a week on average. It is available immediately. This role can be worked from home or at our weekly craft sessions held at Herstmonceux Village Hall on Tuesday mornings (term time only) between 10am and noon.
