About this opportunity

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that can truly make a difference in someone’s life? Could you dedicate up to 3 hours a week for a cup of tea and a chat? At the Association of Carers, we are seeking friendly volunteers in East Sussex to help support local unpaid carers. We invite people from all backgrounds to assist local carers by spending a few hours each week with the person they care for in their home, giving them a much-needed break.

We provide a full induction, additional training opportunities, volunteer support sessions, and reimburse all expenses incurred. Please note that our volunteers do not provide personal care. A DBS check is required for this role. You must be aged 18+.

Agreed upon travel expenses will be reimbursed. This position is flexible with its days and times to suit the individual.
