Wealden Volunteering was founded over 30 years ago by the community for the community. Our award winning centre, originally named Uckfield Volunteer Centre, provided an invaluable community hub serving Uckfield and the surrounding area. As of 2024 we re-branded to become Wealden Volunteering to reflect our growth, as we now cover the Wealden area. Our primary role is to match people wanting to volunteer with charities or community groups needing help. In addition, we support community groups and local charities, who are our members, by providing networking events and training. Wealden Volunteering is run by a dedicated team of volunteers.
About this opportunity: We are looking for a Volunteer Photographer for events, to produce quality images we can use for write ups of the occasions and utilise in future advertising for similar events. Whether you’re a professional or amateur photographer doesn’t matter, if you have an eye for getting the best shot, both candid or staged, then we’d love for you to join us. We ask that any successful applicant provides us with digital copies for use with publicity, and should you want to, we are fine with you using a logo on any photos for your own advertising purposes.
The events we both attend and host can vary; from formal awards evenings, to fundraisers such as our volunteer picnic, or attending local events with our gazebo. This role is flexible, in that we wouldn’t expect you to attend every event, but ask that you try to be available for the biggest occasions in our calendar. Due to the nature of the position, this role is only open to applicants aged 16 or over.
For more information please either come in and see us at Wealden Volunteering, or call us on 01825 760019, or email us at office@wealdenvolunteering.org.uk.
