About this opportunity

Help Support Unpaid Carers Using Technology. Are you tech-savvy and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for compassionate and reliable volunteers to support unpaid carers in their own homes by helping them use technology more confidently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Visit unpaid carers at home.
  • Help set up and explain everyday tech tools (e.g., video calling, apps, smart devices, online services).
  • Offer friendly, patient guidance at their pace.
  • Report progress or challenges to our team.

You Don’t Need to Be an Expert—Just:

  • Comfortable with smartphones, tablets, and basic apps.
  • Good at explaining things simply and clearly.
  • Respectful, trustworthy, and kind.
  • Willing to volunteer a few hours a week.

Why It Matters:

Unpaid carers often feel isolated and overwhelmed. With your support, they can stay connected, access resources, and feel more in control—making their caring role more sustainable.

We Provide:

  • Training and ongoing support.
  • Help empower carers—one click at a time.

A DBS check and references are required. This role is only open to those aged 18+. Due to remote locations it is preferred that you have your own transportation. You can volunteer any days from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (during office hours), but the days and times are flexible and are usually around an hour per week per session.
