The role will sit withinAmbition North Wales’sEnergy Team.The Energy Teamis responsible fordelivering the Growth Deal’s LowCarbon EnergyProgramme,Local Area EnergyPlansand theRegional Energy Strategy across North Wales. TheProgramme, Plansand Strategy aim to support thedecarbonisationof theEnergysystem in North Wales and unlock the benefits of developing lowcarbon energy projects within the region, positioning North Wales as aleading locationforthelow carbon energy sector.
Reporting to theprogrammemanager,theProjectManagerrole,willsupportandcoordinatethe delivery ofgrowthdealprojectssuchastheCleanEnergy Fundand the delivery of LocalAreaEnergyPlansand the Regional EnergyStrategyacrossNorth Wales.
Thisuniquepositionprovidestheopportunitytogainexcellentexperienceinanexciting,rapidlygrowingsector. Youwillplayanintegralroleinsupportingthedecarbonisationof theregion’senergysysteminawaythatbringsininvestment,createsjobsandsustainablegrowth.
Therolewillalsohavetheopportunitytocollaboratewithawiderangeofstakeholdersinthe sector,includinglocalauthorities,government, theprivatesector andouruniversitiesandcolleges.
The post holder willneedto be a problem solverwithstrong communicationskills and capable oftaking the initiative andwithleadershipqualities.Goodinterpersonalandrelationshipbuildingskillswillbeessentialand theabilitytointeractandnegotiatewithawidecrosssectionofbusinesses,governmentdepartments,consultants,localauthoritymembersandofficers.Ouridealcandidatewillbe an experiencedprojectmanager with astrongtrackrecordfordelivery, contractmanagementandaninterestandunderstandingofdecarbonisingtheenergysystem.
