Job Title: QA Engineer Location: Exeter/Remote (Office requirements – Once every 2 weeks)
Hours of Work: 09:00 – 17:30 or in line with project needs
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Cypress to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our software products through the creation, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts using Cypress. You will work closely with other members of the team to identify and report defects, improve test coverage, and ensure the overall quality of our software applications.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of our web applications.
Contract testing: Develop and maintain contract testing for APIs via Postman and adding them in the pipelines with Newman.
Test Planning: Collaborate with the QA team to create comprehensive test plans and test cases in TestRail based on project requirements and user stories.
Perform regression testing as necessary.
Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration (CI) pipeline for regular and automated testing on multiple environments.
Test Data Management: Ensure test data availability and integrity for various test scenarios and configurations.
Track, manage, and report defects using a bug tracking system (e.g., Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand product requirements and provide quality assurance feedback.
Performance Testing: Contribute to performance and load testing efforts to identify and address scalability and performance issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer with a strong focus on Cypress.
Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer with a proven record in API testing with Postman
Strong proficiency in test automation using Cypress, including writing and maintaining test scripts.
Experience with modern software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, and RESTful services.
