The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving new business growth and supporting clients to adopt and maximise our verification services. Operating within a high performing sales environment, the role manages a mix of marketing-generated leads, referrals, and self-generated opportunities. The role requires strong prospecting ability, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing relationships across the full sales lifecycle—from first contact through to onboarding, activation, and ongoing usage. This is a fast-paced commercial role with clear KPIs, a strong focus on quality, and a direct link between performance and earnings.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development
- Respond to and qualify a high volume of inbound enquiries, marketing-generated leads, and referrals
- Progress leads quickly and effectively through the sales process
- Follow up marketing leads to understand compliance and verification requirements
- Identify gaps, risks, and challenges our solutions can support
- Research organisations' compliance obligations to uncover new opportunities
- Re-engage lapsed or low-activity clients
- Identify and engage key decision-makers to build pipeline
- Maintain a structured, high-quality sales pipeline
- Ensure accurate forecasting, timely follow-up, and clear activity tracking
- Engage with warm, cool, and self-sourced leads
- Move opportunities efficiently through the sales cycle
- Prepare and deliver tailored virtual and face-to-face demonstrations
- Clearly communicate the value of verification solutions
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms to close sales
- Manage new client accounts during onboarding
- Ensure services are implemented smoothly
- Support customers to begin processing checks successfully
- Monitor early activity and adoption
- Identify and remove barriers to usage
- Provide guidance on system features and best practice
- Identify upsell opportunities across the uCheck and TrustID portfolio
- Maintain strong client relationships to support retention
- Resolve queries and enhance the customer experience
- Use client feedback and market insights to recommend solutions
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and Compliance
- Support shared goals and coordinated client experiences
- Contribute to team discussions and knowledge sharing
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
