Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors with empathy and compassion, identifying patient and family needs, and ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit.
- Monitor and manage hospital lobbies and waiting areas to uphold organizational policies, safety standards, and a welcoming environment.
- Serve as a liaison between visitors and clinical teams, coordinating patient visits, facilitating communication, and supporting service recovery and patient concerns.
- Maintain patient census, visitor logs, confidentiality, and respond to inquiries regarding patient location and condition.
- Escort visitors as needed, assist with wayfinding, manage telephone communications, and utilize the electronic medical record to locate patient and department information.
- Build positive relationships with staff and stakeholders, support policy interpretation, assist with volunteer training, attend required meetings and trainings, and recognize the special needs of diverse patient age groups.
