We are now seeking an Experienced Logistics Operative to join our established Transport & Operations Team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in logistics or transport operations who is confident working in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment and ready to take on greater responsibility.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role within our busy Express department. You will be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, acting as a central point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure service excellence is consistently delivered. Your responsibilities will include:
- Route planning, scheduling, and real-time operational decision-making
- Load planning, vehicle utilisation, and specification management
- Coordinating driver workloads and ensuring on-time completion of jobs
- Proactively managing operational issues and resolving problems under pressure
- Liaising with customers to provide updates and maintain high service standards
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
You will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy while contributing to continuous improvement across operations.
