UCFB is seeking to appoint a People Advisor. The People Advisor will work closely with the People Business Partner to provide specialist HR advice and guidance across UCFB. The post-holder will deal with a full range of staffing matters and collaborate with colleagues across the People & Culture team, including areas such as employee relations, people development, change management and other projects that support People & Culture initiatives as well as UCFB’s People Strategy.
While the People Advisor will have a strong focus on employee relations, it is a generalist HR position, offering the post-holder the opportunity to contribute and support across a broad spectrum of People & Culture activities, supporting both operational needs and strategic initiatives.
Key Tasks- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary matters, performance management, conduct, attendance and other workplace concerns.
- Work closely with managers to identify, recommend, and implement solutions that address employee concerns while mitigating institutional risk.
- Monitor and report on absence trends, highlighting potential issues and recommending appropriate interventions or support measures.
- Support managers and the People Business Partner in the planning and delivery of institutional change initiatives, including restructures, departmental changes, or process improvements.
- Analyse leaver data and trends to identify potential retention issues and provide actionable advice and guidance to managers on plans to address and mitigate turnover.
- Support the development and maintenance of SharePoint, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and reflects credible guidance for managers and employees.
