UCFB are looking to appoint a Head Football Coach (Women’s) to join the Manchester Campus to coach, manage and support the delivery of the First Team Football programme, ensuring high levels of coaching are delivered, preparing the players for football matches. The role is responsible for the recruitment and selection of players, tactical planning, fostering a positive team culture and reporting in relation to the first team squad.

Key Tasks

  • Design and deliver coaching materials and resources to support player development, reviewing and looking to enhance practice.
  • Undertake player assessment activities including the provision of appropriate feedback to players.
  • Act as a responsible team member and develop productive working relationships with other members of staff, in particular with other coaches to create a collaborative environment with CPD opportunities.
  • Participate in and develop external networks that promote UCFB and contribute to and build relationships for future activities.
  • To lead, support and work with other paid and volunteer coaches to build a performance pathway through all BUCS participating teams.
  • Report to the Sport and Active Lifestyle Officer on First Team performance and progress.
