We are looking for a Research Associate to support the discovery and progression of therapeutic molecules across research and clinical development within UCB’s Patient Solutions portfolio. This role focuses on generating and interpreting translational data to support scientific decision‑making and uncover novel therapeutic opportunities in immunology. The position is based in Slough, UK (Windlesham 2027).
Who You’ll Work With
Reporting to the Principal Scientist, you will collaborate with cross‑functional project teams in Immunology Research, working closely with scientists and stakeholders to generate insights and advance innovative therapeutic approaches.
What You’ll Do
- Design and deliver in‑vitro experiments to support target biology and project decisions
- Develop and run translational assays using complex cell models and immunology techniques
- Generate, analyse and interpret in‑vitro, in‑vivo and ex‑vivo data
- Present findings to project teams and contribute to scientific discussions
- Maintain high standards of laboratory practice, documentation and compliance
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive research environment
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Immunology, Biology or a related life sciences field
- Background in immunology with strong biological understanding across disease areas
- Some experience in industry is highly desirable
- Experience with cell‑based assays, co‑culture systems, flow cytometry or 3D models
- Aware of HTA regulations would be beneficial
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques such as flow cytometry and molecular analysis
- Strong communication, organisation and data interpretation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic research environment and a passion to learn
