About the Role: As RWE Strategy Lead, you will provide strategic leadership for the development and implementation of real world evidence (RWE) and data/registry strategies for assets within a defined disease area. You will ensure that evidence is fit for purpose to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders, including regulators, payers, clinical teams, and patients. You will work across the full product lifecycle, anticipating evidence needs, aligning stakeholder requirements, and ensuring that RWE supports key decision making and demonstrates the value of UCB’s products. This role requires strong collaboration across functions and the ability to connect evidence generation efforts into a cohesive, impactful strategy.
Who You’ll Work With: You will collaborate closely with teams across global medical, research and clinical development, safety, regulatory, patient engagement, and payer functions. You will also engage with external experts, research partners, and key stakeholders to ensure that RWE strategies are aligned with evolving scientific and policy landscapes.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and implement strategic RWE plans to support asset and portfolio needs across stakeholders.
- Design and oversee evidence generation activities, including epidemiology, natural history, comparative effectiveness, and patient centric outcomes.
- Develop data and registry strategies that support regulatory, payer, and clinical decision making.
- Ensure readiness for Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) and alignment with evolving HTA requirements.
- Lead the execution of RWE studies, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Collaborate cross functionally to integrate RWE into broader evidence and development strategies.
- Build strong internal and external relationships to drive insight, innovation, and credibility in RWE.
- Translate complex evidence into clear insights to inform strategic decision making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop RWE team members and contribute to capability building across the function.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for:
- Advanced degree in life sciences, epidemiology, health data science, HEOR, or a related field.
- Significant experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare consulting environments, delivering RWE and evidence strategies.
- Strong understanding of how RWE supports decision making across regulatory, payer, and clinical settings.
- Proven ability to work across complex, matrix organisations and influence without direct authority.
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
