We are looking for a Global Medical Head - Integrated Evidence Generation who is strategic, collaborative and curious to join us in our Medical Communities team, based in our UK office in Slough.

About the role

You will drive the development and execution of the integrated evidence generation plan for designated medicines and indications. Working globally, you will help identify evidence needs, set priorities, guide study planning and ensure evidence activities meet the needs of healthcare stakeholders and create patient value. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful, timely and robust evidence.

Who you'll work with

You will be working in a team that connects global strategy and evidence planning cross-functionally and across geographies. You will partner closely with global medical, access, clinical and RWE leaders, evidence generation community colleagues, internal subject matter experts and external collaborators. You will also be supported by an operational manager to help deliver evidence plans effectively.

What you'll do

  • Provides a strategic overview of activities for the asset to the Asset (Medical Community) Team in terms of gaps, priorities, tactics, delivery and expected impact.
  • Develops asset evidence generation strategy and ensures timely development & maintenance of the plan in line with Asset strategy to ensure maximal impact.
  • Works closely with Product Global Medical Head and other internal/external stakeholders to understand evidence needs, derive evidence generation priorities and identify opportunities for evidence generation partnerships.
  • Facilitates cross-functional plan and alignment.
  • Communicates key decisions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develops budget for the asset to execute on the plan.
  • Ensures regular revision and update of evidence generation strategies relative to new available knowledge.
  • Ensures studies within the plan are aligned to strategy and represent best investment for impact.
  • Leads ISEG project proposal approval for each study coming into the plan.
  • Ensures timely delivery of the Plan supporting the asset strategy.
  • Oversees execution to successfully deliver highly relevant and robust evidence in a timely manner.
  • Enhances and tracks performance and progress through management and monitoring of key metrics and incentives (KPIs).
  • Leads the prioritization and strategic planning of Post Hoc analyses and is accountable for their delivery in due time.

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, including product launch and Medical Affairs/Market Access/Clinical Development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience at regional/global level in delivering integrated evidence generation strategy, planning and execution to successfully deliver robust evidence maximizing the asset’s long-term value to patients.
  • Strong experience and skills in data interpretation and impactful communication to internal and external stakeholders. Broad understanding of methodologies for robust data generation, with experience in RWE and observational study planning/execution.
  • Experience in establishing successful external stakeholder interactions and collaborations as part of medical strategy execution.
  • Strong strategic and business acumen. Anticipation of industry trends; ability to critically analyze complex data.
  • Mastery of therapeutic area & assets knowledge and ability to translate science into clinical patient value and business value.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in clinical/RWE study development and management and sound understanding of statistical process and analysis.
  • Leads with executive presence, strong emotional intelligence, integrity, business acumen, humility, respect, transparency and positively influence performance excellence.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex subjects with clarity, ease and executive presence (storytelling skills).
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; establishes trust and partnership collaboration with cross-functional leadership, internal colleagues and external collaborators.
  • Digital & AI Fluency: Has the ability to identify and leverage digital technologies, data, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance evidence generation, decision-making, and organizational impact.
  • Adaptability: comfortable working with complexity in a fluid environment.
