Make your mark for patients. We are looking for a Digital Technology Lead, Solutions & Programs, who is collaborative, curious, and proactive to join us in our Digital Technology Patient Solutions team, based in our Slough office in the United Kingdom.

About the role

You will be working in a Digital Technology team that designs and delivers technology solutions for Patient Solutions, UCB’s research and early development department. You connect scientific needs with robust, compliant technology, leading complex initiatives from strategy through delivery and closure in a matrix organization. You will contribute to architectures and solutions, oversee operations and lifecycle management for part of the Patient Solutions digital technology landscape. Your digital projects accelerate research and development and ultimately have a positive impact on the lives of patients worldwide.

Who you’ll work with

You will be working in a global and multidisciplinary team alongside research scientists, technology specialists, data governance colleagues, and external partners. You will engage with stakeholders across science and technology to understand needs, clarify requirements, and translate opportunities into practical, scalable solutions. You will collaborate with enterprise services for operations, compliance, and support, and you will help unite diverse teams by facilitating communities of practice to share innovation and accelerate delivery in a supportive, inclusive environment.

What you’ll do

  • Lead projects end-to-end: strategy, setup, planning, execution, and closure
  • Manage scope, budget, timelines, resources, and stakeholders for complex projects and initiatives
  • Translate scientific needs into clear, actionable technology requirements and roadmaps
  • Propose, co-create, and champion architectures, solutions, and improvement initiatives
  • Oversee interdependencies, scale transversal solutions, and ensure compliant operations
  • Follow emerging technologies closely and participate in defining the (digital) technology roadmap for Patient Solutions and accelerate digital transformation

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills:

  • Master’s degree in a scientific or technology field; good knowledge in biology, chemistry, pharmacy, physics, or related sciences
  • Experience with business analysis and support for advanced scientific and laboratory systems, lifecycle and validation knowledge
  • Proven project management, budget management and sourcing of services and licenses
  • Experience with prioritization, issue resolution, influencing with impact, and effective collaboration in culturally diverse, international teams
  • Experience in data analysis, data management, and data integration
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnological research, ability to bridge research and technology with clear communication towards scientific and IT-technical stakeholders
  • Curious and innovative mindset with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
