Make your mark for patients. We are looking for a Pharmacometrics Lead, who is innovative and agile to strengthen our Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology group, based at our research site in Slough (UK), Monheim (Germany) or Braine (Belgium).

About The Role: Bringing experience in the application of pharmacometrics to pediatric drug development, neurology and immunology, with the aspiration to lead and manage more junior staff, to contribute to the team’s development and grow expertise and skills in these areas.

Who You’ll Work With: Reporting to the Global Head of Pharmacometrics, you’ll be leading a team of pharmacometricians from both a technical and scientific perspective, ensuring state‑of‑the‑art pharmacometrics approaches are applied to optimize drug discovery and development. You will work closely with the QCP leads assigned to the various projects to ensure clear integration of the pharmacometrics aspects into the programs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff on navigating within a project and matrix organization.
  • Leading and delivering the pharmacometrics strategy to support development of our assets, including extrapolation (where appropriate), dose selection, trial design, PIP development and ongoing evaluation of data as generated.
  • Performing hands‑on population PK/PD, exposure–response modeling and clinical trial simulations on an assigned project.
  • Developing submission‑ready, fit‑for‑purpose pharmacometrics analysis plans and reports.
  • Initiating and overseeing outsourced pharmacometrics activities and further internalising the work as needed.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of regulatory pathways globally and collaborating with health authorities in pediatrics, neurology and immunology.
  • Promoting MID3 internally and externally.

Interested? For this role you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Doctorate (PhD or MD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Statistics or Engineering.
  • 8+ years of (bio)pharmaceutical industry experience in pharmacometrics with a minimum of 2 years of line‑management responsibilities.
  • Hands‑on experience in population PK/PD, disease‑progression modeling and clinical trial simulations.
  • Strong understanding of Bayesian methodologies, model‑based meta‑analyses, PBPK, QSP and AI/ML in pharmacometrics.
  • Expertise in R, NONMEM or related pharmacometrics software.
