UCB are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented business analyst trainee to join their UK & Ireland team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in commercial business analysis, with a strong foundation in data interpretation and analytics. You will support the Business Analyst team in gathering insights for the business stakeholders, preparing reports, and contributing to data-driven decision-making.
Qualification Requirements
You must have graduated with a Bachelor\’s degree in business, Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
Salary – £28,000 per annum

Job Description
As a Trainee, you support the Business Analyst of UK and Ireland. You enjoy working in a cross-functional environment where you can:
- Develop a deep understanding in Immunology and Epilepsy Rare diseases, and generate actionable insights to help the team improve outcomes and experiences for specific patient sub-populations that may benefit most from UCB’s solutions
- Collaborate closely with the Go-to-Market Insight to Impact teams, including Analytics, Reporting, Sales operations and offshore teams.
- Support analysis related to sales and patient performance management.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams as needed (Commercial, Medical and Market Access)
- Assist in implementing selected initiatives aimed at optimizing Go-to-Market strategies for an effective field-force optimization.
Job Responsibilities
Your typical working day will involve:
- Working extensively with data in Excel, PowerPoint and BI tools
- Conducting analysis, crafting storylines, and drafting communications in presentation format.
- Engaging with business unit stakeholders to support the initiatives mentioned above.

Personal Qualities
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to learn and apply new concepts
- Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting techniques
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI (preferred but not mandatory)
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
