Responsibilities
- Develop Programmes: Design and deliver engaging youth ministry programmes, including Bible studies, retreats, away days, and community service projects.
- Organise Events: Plan and run exciting youth events - clubs, retreats, training, fundraising, and social gatherings - to foster connection and growth.
- Empower Volunteers: Recruit, train, and supervise a dedicated team of volunteers and interns, ensuring effective and sustainable ministry.
- Engage the Community: Build relationships with local schools and organisations, creating outreach opportunities and attracting new youth members.
- Communicate Effectively: Keep youth and families informed and engaged through newsletters, emails, and social media.
- Champion Safeguarding: Work alongside our Safeguarding Lead to ensure the safety and well-being of all youth and volunteers.
- Collaborate: Partner with church leaders, parents, and external stakeholders to align youth programmes with our church's mission and vision.
Qualifications
- A committed Christian with a vibrant personal faith and experience of church life.
- Relevant qualification in youth or community work.
- Experience working with youth (paid or voluntary), including practical evangelism or outreach.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to relate to and inspire young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and independently, with a heart for discipleship.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Additional Information
- Salary: £11,880 - £13,500 per annum (pro rata of FTE £23,760 - £27,000)
- Location: The Church at Junction 10, ARC, Walsall & Sundays at Grace Academy Darlaston (Hybrid/Flexible Working Optional)
