Overview

In this role you shape and govern the Statistical Computing Environment to enable efficient evidence generation, regulatory readiness, and modern analytics across clinical development. You will partner with Biometrics, Data Science, IT, Quality, and external vendors to ensure a compliant, scalable, and innovative platform. Your work drives adoption of automation, AI, and DevOps while upholding reproducibility, traceability, and data integrity. This position offers impact across regulatory submissions and industry leadership in statistical computing.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, roadmap and governance of the Statistical Computing Environment
  • Act as the primary business owner for the platform
  • Ensure platform reliability, compliance and business value in collaboration with internal teams and vendors
  • Ensure GxP compliance, validation, inspection readiness and data integrity
  • Translate clinical analysis needs into scalable platform capabilities for regulatory submissions
  • Drive adoption of modern technologies (automation, AI, open-source, DevOps)
  • Lead platform enhancements, change management, training and user support for biometrics and data science communities
  • Establish standards for reproducibility, traceability, auditability and metadata-driven analytics
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation to improve efficiency, quality and user experience
  • Represent the organization in industry forums and contribute to the evolution of practices

Key requirements

  • Deep understanding of clinical development life cycle, statistical programming, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with validated computing environments, cloud platforms, software validation, and quality systems
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and change management skills
  • Ability to coordinate across stakeholder groups and achieve consensus on standards
  • Experience interacting with management teams to align priorities and enable timely decisions
  • Strong project management, communication and organizational skills in handling multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of SAS, R, Python, Git, DevOps, AI-enabled workflows, and modern analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of Domino Data Lab is preferred
