Overview
In this role you will lead global real-world evidence strategies to support the value, safety, effectiveness and patient impact of UCB therapies. You will translate evidence needs into integrated RWE, epidemiology and data initiatives informing regulatory, market access and reimbursement decisions. You will drive innovative study designs and data sources to address key gaps and influence decision-makers. You will collaborate across functions to align evidence programs with long-term business priorities. This is a hybrid, globally focused leadership role with a strong patient-centric mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop and co-lead integrated RWE, epidemiology and data strategies across the product lifecycle
- Identify evidence gaps and define research plans for regulatory, market access, reimbursement and safety needs
- Shape evidence-generation using real-world data, registries, outside controls and innovative designs
- Translate evolving scientific, regulatory, and business challenges into actionable evidence solutions
- Oversee RWE study execution ensuring timely, on-budget delivery with quality governance
- Align complex evidence-generation activities across stakeholders to maximise impact
- Provide strategic guidance on disease burden, comparative effectiveness, long-term outcomes and HTA requirements
- Leverage AI-enabled approaches to enhance data strategy and decision-making
- Mentor and develop RWE talent and capabilities
- Represent UCB externally with researchers, data providers and industry partners
Key requirements
- 8+ years in pharma/biotech/healthcare or academic sectors with involvement in evidence generation, development, market access, regulatory or payer initiatives
- Strong understanding of RWE, epidemiology, outcomes research and healthcare data sources
- Experience building evidence strategies to inform regulatory, reimbursement, clinical and business decisions
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment
- Experience or familiarity with big data and AI is an advantage
