Overview

In this role you will represent UCB within rare disease communities to improve patient outcomes. You will build trusted relationships across healthcare ecosystems and align scientific knowledge with commercial aims to enable access to innovative therapies. You will contribute to UCB’s patient-centered, science-driven rare disease strategy while collaborating with medical, access, and commercial teams. This position offers the chance to shape regional rare disease initiatives and impact patient journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Build value-driven, ethical relationships with healthcare professionals and patient networks
  • Develop deep understanding of regional healthcare ecosystems and patient pathways
  • Execute strategic territory and account plans aligned to patient journeys
  • Provide balanced, high-quality information on rare disease therapies to professionals
  • Maintain expert knowledge of disease areas, standards of care, and clinical data
  • Advocate for patients and promote appropriate tools and resources
  • Contribute to achieving commercial objectives and national brand performance

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong curiosity and motivation to understand patient needs and deliver impact
  • Proven field-based experience in biopharmaceutical sales, account management, or field reimbursement
  • Experience in specialty, neurology, and/or rare disease environments preferred
  • Track record of contributing to successful product launches
  • Ability to use multichannel and digital engagement tools with healthcare professionals
  • Solid understanding of medical, scientific, and healthcare concepts relevant to rare diseases
