Overview
Join UCB as Analytics Lead to guide advanced analytics initiatives that inform asset viability and reduce reliance on primary data. You will oversee end-to-end analytics programs, scale models, and serve as the subject matter expert for Advanced Analytics/AI across Patient Solutions and Patient Evidence. The role partners with cross-functional teams worldwide to shape data-driven decision making and deliver high-impact insights. This is a hybrid, global position with a strong focus on collaboration, execution, and demonstrable business impact for patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on opportunities to apply advanced analytics for high-impact outcomes
- Lead and deliver analytics projects addressing key business questions and opportunities for patients
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (IT, Data Office, Finance, Commercial, Medical Affairs) to plan data and analytics initiatives
- Mentor and develop junior data scientists and translators in analytics applications and implementation
- Drive regional and local data-driven insights plans and cross-functional delivery of insights
- Supervise analytics studies ensuring methodological rigor and reliable results
- Strengthen partnerships with internal stakeholders and external data sources to increase organizational knowledge of the business
- Promote a data-driven, decision-making culture across hubs and engines
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; 8–10+ years in predictive modeling (ML, decision trees, ensembles, neural networks) and data transformation
- 8–10+ years leading programs/projects from initiation to implementation
- 8+ years working with real-world data (Claims data, EMR, IQVIA, -omics)
- 8–10+ years programming/development experience in Python or R
