Overview
In this role you ensure regulatory-compliant management of bio samples across UCB sites, supporting R&D within the Patient Solutions group. You’ll act as the UK HTA Committee Administrator and coordinate sample tracking, storage, transfer, and destruction while maintaining up-to-date policies and documentation. You work with cross-functional partners to keep data privacy and quality standards aligned, and you help scale compliant bio-sample operations globally. This position combines regulatory stewardship with hands-on documentation and process improvement to enable research impact.

Responsibilities
- Act as Human Tissues Authority Committee Administrator in the UK
- Enable accurate inventory and transversal tracking of acquisition, use, storage, transfer and destruction of biological samples
- Coordinate bio samples requests (HBS) ensuring local processes and donor/ethical requirements are met
- Manage shared documentation websites for bio samples operations
- Contribute to HBS process administration and documentation in line with EU/UK legal requirements and data privacy laws
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, quality, and data privacy policies and capture deviations/events in the eQMS with CAPA actions
- Collaborate with QA and other stakeholders to maintain up-to-date policies and documentation
Key requirements
- Graduate degree in Life Sciences
- Strong organizational skills
- Extensive computer systems proficiency
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience with tracking systems/databases for biological samples and electronic document management systems (asset)
- Interest in documentation management in regulated environments
- Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate instructions clearly
