Overview

As Senior Expert, HEOR at UCB, you will shape global health economics and outcomes research strategies to support payer, HTA, and reimbursement goals across the product lifecycle.

You’ll join the global payer sub-team to address HTA needs, identify evidence gaps, and craft value narratives demonstrating clinical and economic value of therapies.

You’ll influence development programs from early stages to commercialization, improving patient access worldwide.

This hybrid role combines cross-functional collaboration with evidence generation to advance patient access and value-based decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global HEOR and payer evidence strategies aligned with asset and market access objectives
  • Design and deliver HEOR studies and deliverables (cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models, systematic reviews, indirect treatment comparisons, HCRU, HRQo L)
  • Develop asset value assessments and economic value frameworks for pricing and reimbursement decisions
  • Shape and communicate compelling economic value stories for assigned assets
  • Influence clinical development to address HTA and payer requirements across EU and other markets
  • Contribute to global value dossiers and support market access strategies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver evidence generation initiatives (patient preference studies, natural history studies, outcomes research)
  • Provide HEOR guidance across the product lifecycle to translate evidence into access outcomes
  • Contribute to scientific publications, congress activities, and external engagements
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement by sharing best practices and emerging approaches
  • Key requirements
  • Master's degree or Ph D in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Market Access, Public Health, Epidemiology, Pharmacy, or related discipline
  • Strong experience in HEOR, Market Access, Outcomes Research, or Health Economics in pharma, biotech, or consulting
  • Expertise in health economic modelling, cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and outcomes research methodologies
  • Experience supporting HTA submissions, reimbursement, and payer evidence across multiple markets
  • Rare Disease experience is highly desirable
  • Experience working across regions/global in diverse healthcare systems and payer environments
