We are looking for a motivated Instrumentation & Monitoring Technician to support our growing activities across major environmental and infrastructure projects. Under the supervision of our I&M Project Manager, you will install, maintain, and decommission a range of environmental monitoring instruments used to assess ground conditions, water and air quality, structural behaviour, and other key environmental parameters. You will operate on various worksites across the region, particularly on large public works and environmental monitoring programmes. After receiving full training on our tools, systems, and digital platforms, you will be responsible for deploying our dedicated monitoring solutions on construction and infrastructure sites. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys field work, has strong practical and problem-solving skills, and is eager to work with modern environmental and IoT monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare materials, equipment, and documentation required for environmental instrumentation installations.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and method statements prior to mobilisation.
  • Install and uninstall environmental monitoring equipment—such as groundwater sensors, vibration and noise monitors, air quality devices, and settlement or movement sensors—according to specifications and safe working procedures.
  • Install, configure, and commission data loggers, telemetry units, and remote monitoring solutions.
  • Maintain accurate installation records, ITPs, and site reports.
  • Supervise subcontractors when monitoring activities are outsourced.
  • Take manual readings and perform verification checks on instruments.
  • Provide technical support for environmental and structural monitoring systems during operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and installations, including work at height, in confined spaces, or during night shifts when required.
  • Uphold strong health, safety, and quality standards during all site operations.

Profile & Skills

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Experience related to the installation or maintenance of environmental and/or monitoring instruments (e.g., groundwater sensors, vibration monitors, noise monitors, data loggers, telemetry systems, settlement devices, etc.).
  • Experience working with or supervising drilling or instrumentation subcontractors (a plus).
  • A practical, hands-on approach and confidence using electromechanical tools.
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and strong self-motivation.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Interest in technology, IoT devices, sensors, and the digitalisation of environmental and construction monitoring.
