Business Development Executive - Construction Supplies
Location: Worcester (Office Based)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + KPI Bonus (c£3,000+ OTE)
Hours: 8.30-5pm (Monday to Friday) - Flexibility as needed
Holiday allowance: 24 days + Statutory

What's the role about?
As the Business Development Executive, you'll be responsible for generating a consistent pipeline of new opportunities and helping drive the next phase of business growth.
You will:
- Identify and engage new customers across the UK construction market
- Generate qualified leads, enquiries, and meetings for the wider sales team
- Reignite lapsed customer relationships and uncover new opportunities
- Research projects, frameworks, and industry developments to create sales opportunities
- Work closely with account managers, field sales representatives, and coordinators to maximise growth
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to generate new business opportunities
- Build relationships with decision-makers including directors, buyers, project managers, and procurement teams
- Use CRM systems, LinkedIn, industry intelligence, and internal lead sources to identify opportunities
- Arrange meetings and generate qualified enquiries for the sales team
- Build multiple contacts within target accounts and strengthen prospect engagement
- Track activity and performance against agreed KPIs
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline management through CRM systems
Requirements
About You
- Has proven B2B business development, telesales, or lead generation experience
- Is confident making outbound calls and building rapport with senior decision-makers
- Knows how to research markets, identify opportunities, and create new business conversations
- Is self-motivated, resilient, and targets driven
- Has experience using CRM systems and LinkedIn as a business development tool
- Enjoys working collaboratively while taking ownership of their own results
- Is hungry to develop their career within a growing organisation
