This is a standout opportunity for a strategic & hands-on Operations Manager to join a growing, UK-based organisation delivering high-quality products into fast-paced B2B sectors including housing, utilities, and industrial. Backed by major framework agreements and a strong reputation for innovation, this business is on a clear growth trajectory.
You will be responsible for leading and coordinating all core operational functions; warehousing, logistics, production and fulfilment, with Customer Service at the forefront of everything you do, as well as helping embed new digital and process-led improvements across the function.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead daily operations across warehouse, production, logistics, and customer service
- Prepare your team for a major ERP transformation (migration to Business Central), including digital picking and barcode scanning
- Drive performance through clear KPIs (e.g., OTIF, stock accuracy, dispatch rates)
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers
- Build a strong and accountable team, mentoring 3 direct reports and overseeing approximately 20 operational staff
- Champion a high-performance, safety-first culture
- Develop and streamline processes to support scalable growth
What You’ll Bring:
- A track record of success in a similar Operations Management role, ideally in PPE, workwear, B2B distribution, or light manufacturing
- Experience with ERP systems and stock/inventory management
- Knowledge of supply chain, including importing, logistics, and fulfilment
- Confidence managing people, process, and change in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- A "hands-on" style, comfortable both on the ground with teams and at the table with directors
- Awareness of UK health and safety standards; ISO or Lean Six Sigma experience a plus
