We are seeking a commercially minded and highly analytical Commercial Executive to join a fast-paced and collaborative Sales Team. This role plays a critical part in pricing new business opportunities and managing key commercial enquiries from existing customers.
You’ll be at the centre of commercial decision-making—developing competitive pricing, supporting bids and tenders, and helping secure profitable, long-term business. The Commercial Executive will take ownership of pricing activity across new and existing business. This includes managing complex or bespoke pricing requests, supporting tender submissions, and providing commercial insight that strengthens proposals and protects margins. The role requires strong analytical thinking, commercial judgement, and the confidence to work closely with both internal stakeholders and customers. You will be reporting into the Commercial Manager and working closely with them to support this function.
Key Responsibilities
- Pricing & Commercial Analysis
- Own the pricing of new business opportunities, including larger and more bespoke projects
- Qualify and manage tenders from a commercial perspective
- Review customer requirements, costs, and market conditions to create competitive pricing
- Build robust costings and commercial models to support proposals and internal decisions
- Ensure pricing meets margin targets and complies with commercial guidelines
- Manage high-value or sensitive pricing requests from existing customers
- Provide commercial advice and insight to support sales activity
- Support bids, tenders, and customer presentations
- Contribute to value propositions and assist with commercial negotiations when needed
- Maintain accurate pricing tools and commercial data
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing strategy, margins, and commercial processes
- Ensure all commercial activity follows internal governance and approval processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial pricing, financial analysis, or a similar commercial role
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to build and interpret commercial models
- Comfortable working alongside sales teams and engaging with customers when required
- Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident in decision-making
- Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong IT skills and confidence using commercial systems and tools
