Reporting to: Production Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing UK manufacturer seeking an experienced CNC Production Operator to strengthen their production capability. This role sits at the heart of the manufacturing operation and is critical to maintaining quality, efficiency, and right-first-time output as the business continues to scale.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor CNC machinery to produce components to specification
- Read and interpret technical drawings and job sheets accurately
- Carry out first-off and in-process quality checks
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping (CAYG)
- Support preventative maintenance, tooling changes, and downtime reduction
- Work collaboratively with the Production Manager and wider team to meet production targets
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Proven CNC operating experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced production setting
- Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
Desirable
- Panel processing or woodworking machinery experience
- Lean manufacturing awareness
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
