Your role
Do you have experience in private secondaries and/or co-investments and want to join a fast growing team deploying capital across GP led, LP led deals and co-investments?
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate private equity secondary and co-investment opportunities (both GP and LP led), building trusted relationships with GPs and advisors.
- Lead the investment processes from screening through to legal negotiation and closing.
- Lead due diligence and investment analysis, guiding junior team members, and reviewing business models, financials and operating KPIs.
- Translate industry insights into comprehensive investment recommendations and risk assessments.
- Coach and develop colleagues, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Contribute to portfolio monitoring post close and reporting materials for stakeholders.
- Support fundraising efforts engaging with clients and partners.
- Keep up to date on deals and market developments, including transaction terms & pricings.
Your team
Our team is responsible for the sourcing, diligence and execution of co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. You'll play an important role in the origination, review / selection of investments and the monitoring of our portfolio companies. You'll be working in the UGA (Unified Global Alternatives) Private Equity, Co-Investments & Secondaries team based in London and collaborating closely with colleagues in NYC and Zurich. You will be reporting to the team head, also based in London. This is an exciting fast paced and growing team with direct access to best-in-class managers in the industry.
Qualifications
- Ideally 10-12+ years' experience with a transaction track record in private equity secondaries or co-investments.
- Prior relevant investment banking experience.
- Well-connected in the industry with track record in sourcing, fundraising, and client/LP engagement.
- Experience in leading transactions and supporting the development of junior team members.
- Demonstrated ability to independently source and execute deals.
- Proven experience structuring and negotiating legal documentation.
- Advanced LBO modelling skills and fluency with valuation techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
